Flying & Gliding

As part of your Air Cadet experience you will have the opportunity to go flying & Gliding. Building on the knowledge leant during your classification training you will get the chance to visit an Air Experience Flight (AEF) or Volunteer Gliding Squadron (VGS).

At an AEF you will get the chance to fly in the Grob Tutor T1, a light powered aircraft, being mentored by experienced pilots to learn the primary effects of controls and maybe a few loops along the way!

At a VGS you will take off in the Grob Viking T1 Glider utilising either an aerotow or winch to soar to incredible heights. With a Gliding Scholarship you could even fly solo.

If you really like flying then you could apply for the Air Cadet Pilot Scholarship (ACPS) working towards your Private Pilot's License.

With Flying & Gliding the Skies the Limit!
